This image was captured on a morning I will not soon forget. Surrounded by mountains, massive glaciers, icebergs and so many humpback whales! This image comes from one of the top wildlife encounters I have ever had in my life!

It started with a mom, calf and their escort who came to investigate our zodiac and ended hours later. In between that time, we got to witness intimate close encounters, lunge feeding and over thirty breaches by numerous whales! With so many small pieces of ice in the water, this image almost gives the illusion that the humpback has broken through the surface of sea ice with this breach.
